We had been told by a company our crawl space needed repairs and had mildew. We started calling around to get prices in addition to that company’s quote. A couple bigger companies came out and inspected it. We received quotes of $1600 all the way up to $6000. Luckily, we also called Virginia Basement to come take a look. First, the receptionist I spoke to when scheduling the inspection was so friendly and sweet. She assured me we could practice safe distancing during this time. Second, Robby (or Robbie?) came out to take a look and ended up telling us the crawl space was actually in pretty good shape (which was in line with what someone else had told us a while back), and he couldn’t really recommend us getting anything done at this time. I was blown away. I thanked him for his honesty, and he said, “I have no choice.” Wow! When the time comes to get work done on my crawl space, you can believe Virginia Basement will be the first company I call. I told my wife from the time I called them, I had a good feeling about them. You can get that mom and pop vibe from them and it proved to be the case. We need more businesses that have that honesty and integrity.
