The basement water grate under the exterior door was not allowing water to flow through, causing water to go inside the basement onto the tile when we had alot of rain the other day. The seller of the home was supposed to fix the issue, however, he didn't want to do anymore work and felt that the drain was working just fine (even though my agent showed him in pictures that it wasn't working and the seller refused to meet with my agent to see it not working in person). I called the basement company that did the original work when the house was completely gutted and renovated, it was virginia basement company. The receptionist was super friendly and scheduled an appointment the following week. Robbie came to my home, showed me the issue which was dirt in the drain from where the seller was working but never cleaned up after himself. Robbie got straight to work while I was handling conference calls. He cleared it out, put the drain/grate back, and vacuumed the whole area. He even gave me suggestions on how to keep air from coming through the very old door. He explained how the sump pump works and left me with his card for convenience. Great work guys!
